DOGS' DREAMS COME TRUE! |
In June of 2002, we made the decision to offer purebred and designer breed puppies to our customers, however, it was always a consideration to find excellent homes for rescue/shelter dogs as well. In 2009, we chose to cease selling puppies and only provide rescues. A large portion of our store is dedicated to taking care of these special dogs needing to survive in a loving home environment. (Please view our Press Release.) With over 70 feet of available space, we are able to present terrific rescue orphans for the entire community to come and enjoy seven days a week! Our orphan guests represent small breeds (up to 15 lbs.) due to the size limitations of store dens. However, photos and bios of other orphans, available through various rescue organizations we work with, will be on display. Customers who are interested in a particular orphan will be able to call from our store to make arrangements to meet and greet. We are working with Ken-Mar Rescue, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and protecting abandoned dogs. Founded in 2007, Ken-Mar Rescue has successfully placed hundreds of dogs that would have otherwise been destroyed into loving, fur-ever homes. Together - with your help - many hundreds more can be saved. For additional information about their work, please visit www.kenmarrescue.org For more information on our adoption headquarters, please call us at 310-376-1348 or e-mail Tannia, the Adoption and Day Care Manager at tannia@petcarecompany.net |

Rescue Dogs With Their Adopting Families: |
|
We carefully screen potential new parents for Ken-Mar Rescue. Questionnaires and agreements are issued to individuals we feel can provide a committed relationship. Martie Petrie and Ken Guild (Ken-Mar) review the material, contact the family, and perform home visitations for those who qualify. |
|
Before arrival to our store, our guests (so named because they are only visiting until a good family is found) are vet checked, vaccinated, micro-chipped to include life long lost and found registration, and neutered or spayed. To help the potential new parent make an educated decision on which dog would be the best fit, information is provided regarding breed, temperament, and health. |
Additionally, we offer the following extras:

We are proud to provide an atmosphere where potential new parents feel comfortable viewing, playing, loving and enjoying God's greatest gift to mankind. You can help by considering adopting an orphan. |
| We dream about the future. Rescues hope for tomorrow. Make both wishes come true by adopting today. Paula and Lewis Turner, owners, The PetCare Company |
